@pluralistic Mention of the #BBC becoming more closed, rather than more open, reminded me of the old iPlayer rss/atom feeds, which I worked on. They were switched off in about 2014. A FOI request at the time revealed that they were being accessed millions of times each day.

I knew folks who had worked on Jam, and it was a blow to morale when it was canned, as you can imagine.

We need to get better at steering our public bodies, like the BBC, just as we need to get (much) better at empowering regulators.

Fixed a niggly bug in our family's game code.

Took some wreckage from a recent storm to the local waste site. That involved firing up the Land Rover that hasn't been used for a couple of months...

Shopping for the return of wifey and daughter #2 from London this evening, and guests coming for lunch tomorrow. Stock at supermarkets patchy at best.

I think I've got a spider bite on my back. No superpowers to report, so probably wasn't radioactive.

@Mrfunkedude Wifey is away today and tomorrow, so it's a multi-tasking day. Multiple kids taxi runs; cooking. We've got a bit of a backlog of clothes washing, so I will attack that too.

There's a chap replacing a window pane in the lounge.

It's release day at work, so all plates are spinning!

Evening relaxation will be cricket* highlights on telly, and reading up on Cloudflare R2.
