#Today I met with my writing critique group. They read my chapter and totally saw how I was NOT getting the most out of a dialogue that was occurring between a detective and a suspect. It was on the page, and yet...there was so much more that could be implied to deepen the scene. This is why a good critique group is so helpful. Because the story you think you're telling may not be the one that is on the page.

#Today I finally finished (I think) revising a short story (novelette?) called The Lightbringer. It's a cautionary tale set in a future Alaska and integrates native folklore, global warming, and some laser action (pew-pew!). Here's hoping I find a home for it!
