The Electoral College was created to keep slavery legal despite popular opposition, even in the time of the founding fathers. The whole point of it is to prevent the will of the people for the benefit of a few racist rural assholes.

The usual serfs keep telling us that increasing wages will result in fewer people working. Once again, their claims are the opposite of reality.

I still see Republicans bring up BLM whenever January 6 is mentioned.

First, if their response to an accusation is to accuse someone else of something else, they just confessed to the original accusation. It doesn't matter if the counter-accusation is true, they confessed by changing the subject like cowards. Look up "tu quoque" logical fallacies.

But let's talk for a moment about their ridiculous counter-accusation.

This isn't going to be easy.

The ship of state turns very slowly. There are elements of the government wedded to the imperialist strategy in Palestine, and changing course will take a lot of time and effort.

We should be thankful for this. Trump would have done a lot more damage if not for this.

Also, it's possible that if we stop the military aid, the Israeli government might legitimately collapse. While I'm OK with that, this could lead to more people digging their heels in.

I want to say a couple of things about the election.

1. Anti-Genocide Protesters
Remember Obama? Remember how the immigration activists went after Obama instead of the Republicans (who are worse on immigration issues)? There's a reason they did that. They knew that Republicans could not be changed, so they went after the candidate they thought could be pushed into a different position. That's just how democracy works. Get over it.

What point are you trying to make about hostages?

Oh, wait. Are you saying that genocide is acceptable if someone takes hostages?

Because Israel has a lot of innocent people in their prisons. If having hostages justifies genocide, then why are you complaining about anything the Palestinians are doing, which is demonstrably less bad than genocide?

Anyway, they knew. They all knew it was wrong. The Electoral College exists specifically to allow slavery to continue despite popular opposition to slavery. The whole structure of the American government indicates that a majority of Americans understood that slavery is wrong.

I actually prefer Subway over the other sandwich shops, if only because they have more kinds of veggies I can put on them.

Those executives have fancy advanced business degrees and seem to have forgotten how supply and demand work. When you increase the price, demand goes down.

If you run a fast-food empire, low price is the primary reason anyone buys your product at all. Push the price high enough, and people will find better-tasting food that is also healthier at fast-casual restaurants.

They do this because they know Republican voters are stupid enough to fall for it.
