@norbu Might be worth mentioning that KDE uses a toolkit made by a company with 500+ paid employees, while GTK is developed in-house by a small team of volunteers. This didn’t take so long because someone said «it’s not needed», but because it basically required a rewrite of large parts of GTK, and GNOME isn’t a company that can order someone to work on specific things.
