Meaning: most people will only see your last pinned toot, making you reluctant to add more pinned toots for fear no one will see your most important one.

What has changed the most about the Fediverse since you first arrived? Do you regard that change as a positive, negative, or mixed?

There needs to be -- and as far as I know it doesn't currently exist -- some mechanism to get important warnings in front of all #Mastodon users (with the permission of their site admins) as quickly as possible. I'm thinking specifically about the current "verify your identity" scam and similar problems that are likely coming down the pipe soon. Some way to push out a butter bar or similar warning to as many users as possible. Details of implementation to be determined.

Am I incorrect in assuming that a similar mechanism does not exist at this time?

I used to self-host my Mastodon.

I set up the instance to heavily federate with others through my followings and relays.

The next day, my VPS reached 90GB of 100GB of storage, and my Mastodon website could not be accessed.

Other people advised me to use a VPS with 1TB or more for Mastodon.

Alguém criou uma conta "Mastadon_Social@mastodon.social" (sic) e começou a mencionar pessoas dizendo que a conta delas "foi temporariamente suspensa" e que seria necessário "verificar a identidade".

Aí tinha um link muito legítimo pra fazer isso. Mas a conta golpista não foi muito longe e já foi derrubada na .social.

Porém, fiquem atentos e denunciem caso outras tentativas como a deste golpe apareçam.
