We had a very good turnout for #NoKings in Lafayette, CO this morning. At least 1000 people, probably pushing closer to 1500 showed up to support #democracy and oppose the Trump regime's attempted authoritarian takeover. I worked one corner of a major intersection as a safety marshall. No major issues. A few pathetic counter protesters in cars, but they looked extra weak against the massive crowd. Lots of unicorns and dinosaurs. One inflatable frog and a group of plushy pajama frogs. #uspol

Here's a new piece on #NoKings and what I think was accomplished on 18 October.

For me, it's about:

1) repudiating the moral ugliness of the regime (i.e., moral de-contamination)

2) revitalizing the rights and duties that democracy aims to instill; and

3) locking arms with one another to continue building the movement and the country we want.
