@jacqueline@chaos.social Ah, I found them. You have to enable this feature in Interface -> Chat Window -> Show channel mode buttons.

Of course the letters represent the channel modes, which is only done as an admin and channel modes are always indicated by letters, the same shorthands are used when doing the same actions through the console.
