Haunting, stilted, and atmospheric, this track explores themes of guilt, fear, self-loathing, and mental collapse with an unguarded earnestness that defines The Cure's best "dark" songs. The strange chord changes and Smith's off-kilter vocal delivery heighten the sense of isolation and anguish this track communicates.
