AnarchoNinaWritesWhile most of this record is a wild departure from The Cure's more familiar musical styles, I think Taking Off is probably the best and most traditional-sounding track on the album; with the caveat that it clearly borrows from the lighter side of The Cure's song catalogue. Smith's earnest vocals mix really well with the euphoric jangle guitar work and the slightly manic drumming drives the song forward at a blissfully brisk pace. Easily my favorite track on this album.
