    @oblomov @GustavinoBevilacqua some time ago when I was using a dyndns service that at times didn't work I set up a cron job that curled checkip.dyndns.com/ and sent it as an email to my address.

    but yeah, these days we're using freedns.afraid.org/ and it works just fine
