I've found her analysis and research helpful since it expands on other European powers with colonial ties (my focus is on France, for reasons 😭).
It also gives me space to help answer a stupidly difficult question: can a country, a state, a nation truly be held accountable for the harms committed against a set of people?
I feel like for the United States, it's aggressively doomed as there's so little federal conversation about things like government officials giving orders to "wipe out" or "exterminate" Indigenous peoples.
