One reason you study art history or musicology is to gain the specific variety of vocabulary by which to name the tiny fleeting aspects – of things, atmospheres, music, etc. As people no longer have the education to properly speak about such aspects, they fall for the obvious traits, the bassline, the rhythm, the "gorgeous" look, the "great" appearance. There are good reasons you study Humanities, if only not to fall victim to the cult of practical constraints, of feasibility (although much in the Humanities is about feasibility), and keep being able to call the tiny things to attention. By naming them you're sharing them. Stupid as that sounds, it's vital for remembrance and thus for culture as a whole.
