if you allow adding URLs to scrobbles you are in fact not only making up "Funkwhale scrobbles" but you also end up creating "parody" "Funkwhale audios" with same url but different attribution and data.

There is also a huge potential for abuse since it would create objects with artist/title user decides on and attribute them to a URL, you can easily just advertise that you listened to a podcast but change the title to something aggravating or change the "artist" to something else. When you are giving an URL you should take the metadata from the URL. If you are making shit up, you should label it as "fake" from the get-go to avoid getting confused later.
