@jihadjimmy I don't believe Tor exits send 500 requests a second - the number should be quite a bit lower really.

Clownflare knows which requests are coming from Tor and the expected amount of traffic, but intentionally sabotage the connection as they can't spy on Tor visitors easily without at least getting them to run their spying JavaScript (Tor Browser does limit the ability of sites to fingerprint and track typing speed/mouse movements, but I reckon short term, limited connection association via limited fingerprinting may work).

If they were really worried about the traffic, they would make the sites redirect to Tor .onions automatically.
