I wish it was rational though. This pilpul legal system where there's no clear rules other than you can be fucked regardless of what you do, e.g. an officer going to prison for letting people in or not letting people in, is fucking retarded.

I'm not a back the blue guy per se, but I recognize that law enforcement is a natural part of any modern regime, and believe it's only fair that they be given simple, clear rules to follow. They're not jurists and decisions often need to be made quickly and under high pressure. Putting them in a pickle and then fucking them because of nigger worship and post factual, arm-chair quarterbacking is just wrong.
