Rokosun@apps I just tested it by turning on the wifi hotspot of another device and connecting to it from my phone, surprisingly the issue still persists. One thing to note here is that both phones use the same ISP, tomorrow I'll try connecting to another phone with a different ISP, to see if it connects better/faster with fosstodon. I'm sure this has something to do with the connectivity between my device and fosstodon servers, but for some reason tusky handles the situation better than fedilab does.
