On June 20th, 2019, there was news about the Dutch Defense Ministry starting a procedure against students and staff at the Royal Military Academy for sharing racist and Nazi imagery in a WhatsApp group;

A similar investigation happened at the Luchtmobiele Brigade, including the use of the Nazi salute. Concluded that it had happened, but that there was no indication of 'affinity with Nazi ideas' 🙄

  Nazi-uitingen en ongepaste relaties op academie van Defensie
  
  Defensie zet een procedure in gang tegen vijf studenten en een leidinggevende van de Koninklijke Militaire Academie (KMA) die over de schreef zijn gegaan. Dat kondigt staatssecretaris Barbara Visser (Defensie) donderdag aan. De stap kan ertoe leiden dat Defensie strafmaatregelen kan treffen, variërend van een waarschuwing tot ontslag.
