This is a completely relatable and valid observation by a huge number of people of a certain age talking about their mothers of a certain age.

A considerable number of our mothers were born into a different world with different opportunities and lived experiences. As time goes on this trope loses its accuracy but there is absolutely no way that this is an attack on women and mothers in the tech industry. It's absurd conclusion to make.
