Justin Fitzsimmons@Mrfunkedude we're already seeing quoted posts being implemented client side in some of the new clients that are hitting the various app stores. The client can detect that a link goes to a post and then renders it inline. To everyone else, it looks like a normal link. Eventually I expect most or all clients will adopt this functionality because it's a very popular feature request.
I think the only way to fight this is to set your posts to followers-only.
