@7 sorry, honestly, i just don't know what to reply because i don't think much about economics; i don't really see the world and infrastructure in this way and writing a concise reply in my current situation and with what i have would be difficult, especially as i should technically be "sleeping" and i don't want to reply to something serious if i can't ensure replying back, especially considering the kind of topic that tends to devolve into hellthreads (which i'm not fond of in general)
i don't mean to make fun of you (or anyone, really) and i understood your thoughts on this, i don't think i'd agree with them but it feels like you've managed to give some form to them, and that's a good thing. i think people with more knowledge of economics would be able to help you form your thoughts better by talking to them about it, but i don't feel like i can help much, my view of the world makes it so that i don't view economics this way
i'll give you a short reply as to what i think here: infrastructures matter, but it's more than about time or helping future generations. economics and human behaviour in general in our current society don't exactly plan for such long term as the interest is to find relief and reward for themselves, and rarely so for the future or what's to come; some people are exceptions, but this may come off as generally the rule in what i've observed so far.
