@skinnylatte if you haven’t read Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz’s book “An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States” I’d highly recommend it. It’s a good overview of how colonialism and counterinsurgent war built the United States, and how the legacy of those two systems pervade our current situation.
