@clarity There are lots of fun and challenging design problems this creates but IMO the hardest part is it's a different production paradigm than most gamedev. "Build an MVP and dress it with content" is a development mindset that results in a lot of the content just Being Stuff instead of something that changes the game experience meaningfully.
(Also BG3 absolutely got to cheat at this because D&D has a lot of this mechanical intricacy built in.)
