While YouTube has been an essential resource, I really find that the first 10 hours with local teacher are important. Again, this is a cost issue, but some music schools will offer sliding scale.
This is because you can’t easily unlearn bad habits that you’ll almost definitely pick up on your own. I also feel I go much faster anyway. So far I haven’t found a flamenco guitar tutor locally, but I found one on Zoom. I’m still figuring out next steps, but I’d like to keep the budget low. I borrowed an excellent book from the library and I’ll start with that.
