@mntmn cool, 1.5A isn't too bad, you can probably get away without a dedicated CM filter on the power input.

with ground connected to case you're gonna want to watch out for common mode noise due to ground bounce. once you're done with layout I'd run a fairly dense via stitching pass to keep the ground bounce as low as possible.
