@SK1ZM These horrible creatures. They're a type of termite and they mostly live in dark moist spaces like topsoil and detritus. They will eat some plants in your garden but typically prefer the dead stuff. Because they like the cold and dark, you will often find them inside your home during the hottest times of the year. I hear a scream weekly from one surprising my wife or kids in the shower. They do pinch if you accidentally step or lay on them, and it's enough to wake you up but that's about it from my experience.
