I'm using xorg with xfce4 because I couldn't figure out how to get plasma wayland to use two different keyboard layouts. I tried a lot to figure out, and I gave up multiple times. I'm sure it can be done but I'm not smart enough to figure out.
On the other hand, it took only 2-3 clicks to get two keyboard layouts in xfce. It can also do per window layout management, that is, switching the window automatically switches the layout I last used.
Point is, xorg is some cases just works, while wayland in some other cases. Let people decide based on quality of the software, what they want to use. For example, git is currently the dominant version control system because it's that good. It won the competition. Allow the same for xorg and wayland.
