The *P* model is the only one that Libreboot supports; Canoeboot also added it today (documentation coming soon).

There is a reason:

The P model does not have an Intel Boot Guard. The other models (non-P models) have the Boot Guard, which prevents use of coreboot upon which Libreboot and CAnoeboot are based.

That other person most likely purchased a T440p from me.
