I'm calling today to urge Senator [senator's name] to vote NO on H.R. 1, the House budget reconciliation bill. Two important parts of this bill stand out to me. Firstly, it will suspend trans access to healthcare. Trans healthcare barely makes a dent in the national budget, harms no one, and saves thousands of lives anually. Please do not allow this to be taken away. More importantly, there's a provision that will limit the enforcement of contempt of court charges. This was clearly included in the bill just to allow the Trump administration to defy court orders and the Constitution. I expect Senator [senator's name] to protect trans youth and the rule of law. Thank you.
