My #SilentSunday was a hike around the old hydroelectric plant “Brende Mill” on Funen. From 1912 to sometime in the 1970s they used to generate power here from the water of the Brende River.

Picture 1: In 1990 they built this salmon ladder, which enable fish to jump from step to step and swim further up the river.

Picture 2: A nearby gravel pit has been completely transformed to a wonderful forrest and nature area which is now home to ravens, swans, ducks, geese, pheasants, and red dear.
