A good friend often sends me cute animal pics, but lately she sends more and more AI generated stuff. I'm sure she doesn't realize, but I have an eye for it..

I let it go for a while because I know the intention is good.. but I started to feel bad about it, so now I told her, and that I wasn't sure how to handle that kind of thing, like, should I mention it or not? And asked her how she felt about all that.

I'm a pleaser so now I'm very stressed about her potential response, even tho I told her in a very respectful way 🙏🏼 (honestly kinda pleasing lol)

But I kinda had to, because the AI slob problem is only going to get worse, so it would have become more and more irking either way..

What would you do? If it was a good friend of yours? Would you tell them, and how?
