    馬子にも衣装 is an expression that means something like "even a packhorse driver looks good in the right clothes" Red gets the phrase wrong (maybe intentionally) and says "even a horse looks good in the right clothes" and Misty angrily corrects him.

    I guess we don't have an equivalent expression in English.
