I love this but I don't think that last line is true

For people who lack empathy, books and movies teach them how to *act* as though they care about others. By increasing cognitive empathy in someone who lacks affective empathy, you're only giving them more tools with which to manipulate people. It's the same reason abused spouses are counseled against couples therapy

The Nerd Reich are a perfect example of this. They read the books but took away all the wrong lessons
