“What can I do to save lives?”
1. Get CPR training. If someone drops dead in front of you, immediate and high-quality chest compressions vastly increase survivability.
2. Get trained to use an AED. Automated external defibrillators are becoming more common, often placed near fire pulls. If someone has a shockable arrhythmia, early defibrillation can be the difference between death and living.
3. Take a “Stop the Bleed” class. Nobody should bleed to death from compressible sites.
