AlexCalling it computer “science,” and its practitioners “engineers,” is a great example of how _everything_ is political despite people acting like they can avoid politics and work in some neutral sphere. We’d live in a different world if it were called “computer arts and crafts” and its practitioners “artisans.” The field and the work would be held in much more contempt by capitalists for starters.
