China's e-commerce sector, particularly companies like Temu, Shein, Alibaba, JD.com, and PDD are working to help exporters find buyers in the domestic market, investing billions to support local sales.
Chinese tech giants, including DiDi and Tencent, have also joined the effort to help exporters pivot to the domestic market.
The domestic pivot has led to a surge in retail sales in China, with a 5.9% increase in March 2025.
