@sam @RustyCrab @waifu Typically if someone who is actually an expert in a genre is criticizing something it holds more weight then ur average joe or journo. Like as someone who has played a lot of puzzle games I dont like the popular gimicky portal knock offs like veiw finder or superliminal where they have one cool trailer gimmick with like 2 okay puzzles and the rest is just dull filler even though both of his games have high steam ratings because people are wowed by the gimmick. or just straight up gambling rougelite shit like Balatro or Binding of Issac where the game is basically just finding what builds are good and rerolling runs until you get a good first item. Its "fun" but ultimately a hollow time waster.
