"grok" is a word that's been in the programmer lexicon for at least 30 years at this point.
It is a verb meaning "to deeply understand".
Examples:
"your problem with vim is you don't grok vi"
"once you grok UTF-8, writing a parser for it is pretty straightforward"
"do not make changes to this subsystem until you grok all of the unit tests"
Continue to use it correctly. Disregard the stupid chatbot that happened to appropriate the name -- it's irrelevant.
