The code quality is about the same. And don't worry, Linux is too big to fail and too much company revenue depends on it. If it ever comes to the point where things start to break in major ways, companies will start pulling the strings.

And if all else fails, there are other kernels of comparable/or better quality already used. And when those go underground, I'll embrace my inner alone-in-the-woods Luke Smith.
