PatrickI'd rather just ban all children from using in the internet, with parental accountability, until they're 18. It beats bringing ID requirements to every public forum and website.
The point of these legislations are to spy on you, intimidate you, and to scare you. It's not about protecting the children, so don't go thinking that'll happen.
