@BasedLunatic @Dionysus @snacks @Dionysus Account deletion on Pleroma does almost nothing anyway. At worst your posts and relationships get deleted, but an admin can still fully reactivate the account and everything will work again. Just the previous posts won't be there.

Also in case of schizophrenia or bpd, you might want to specifically leave the old "yourself" on the Internet behind for many reasons and switch to a new nickname. Both sides have valid reasons.
