One thing I love about #proxmox is I can setup as many things as I want and if I don't use them much it doesn't matter. I don't get invoiced for my indecision.

The cost is still the same. Hardware purchase once (two ~300$ mini pcs) and some electricity+home connection. As you can see most of the stuff is at nearly 0% cpu usage most of the time. But when I need to do a big owncloud sync, or compiling stuff I have many cores enabled to do it.
