Look, running a fedi server isn't free, even when you self host. I still have monthly and yearly costs related to the instance that I have to pay completely on my own. I am lucky though that currently the costs are low enough I can eat them. My domains are about to expire, and that alone is going to be at least $35. I'm supposed to be paying for part of the internet and power bills but I am not even making enough to pay for school. I do not have enough spare spending money to spend on keeping the infrastructure running, be that internet, power, domains, or parts for our already old secondhand systems.

I'm trying to manage a fedi instance, a personal website, a minecraft server, and an xmpp server, all in my own personal spare time. I am running out of spoons to deal with all this and I'm constantly worried about if I'm going to be able to afford to pay my bills and if I'll be getting paid enough to afford food other than instant ramen.

As it stands, it's difficult for me to try to find a new job when I have nothing to support me between jobs. So I need to be able to have a definite job before I can quit my current one. It also doesn't help that the current political climate here means I don't know what my future plans will be.

If you can help, any little bit helps. I would really appreciate it.
