Grand dames Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton are friends in the movie The Room Next Door. Moore's character is a writer researching the surrealist Leonora Carrington. An early scene is reminiscent of Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World, a print of which hung over my Granny's fireplace. In the movie, a Vietnam vet suffers a delusion, believing people are screaming from a burning house. His wife falls onto the grass, begging him not to go into the flames. He believes he must rescue them. Great film.
