Alright, I just want to talk shit at this point.
Tower Unite has released out of early access. The big release features? Practically nothing. Most minigames are still untouched from their barebones, unpopular original versions. Sure, there's a few bug fixes and extra maps added here and there, but that's about it. The game's not underrated like reviews may say, but instead overrated for the playerbase it has. It's like there's this cult of personality around the dev team since some of the original GMod Tower devs were there at some point in development (though I doubt any of them are still there).
As a game it's just missing all the charm of being a source engine game, running in GMod, which practically everyone using steam owns. It feels like the full release is just a tagline to try increasing playerbase. The reality is, the only players who join will all end up doing the same stuff since most of the game isn't interesting. Watching youtube videos in a virtual space, and people gambling in a virtual casino.
This is all to say, I regret spending money on this piece of shit even if I did get to play with friends for a small bit. Not even daring to bother reinstalling the game, it's just not going to be worth my time or effort to do the same mind numbing things as always.
