it was not on the web pages proper, it looked like one of those front proxies blocking access to the whole site, demanding javascript for some bogus excuse. it blocked me, I resorted to a proxy and got through somehow, and then I could get through directly. I use Tor, so it could have been some IP address that some front found suspicious for whatever reason, but I just can't repeat the operation (because of the way Tor works), so, we'll see...
