@nyanide well yeah it's not a POSIX-like shell, cuz MS thought nobody would need such a thing on a desktop OS. The rationale behind MSDOS, win9x and NT was that desktop computers were something entirely different from mainframes and thus don't need anything Unix-like in them. An outdated idea to be sure, but it's too late to rewrite all of it from the ground up.
