Few times the sleep paralysis would have a common theme I've heard other people say where you're half asleep and can see your surroundings but still has like a dreamy haze over it, you feel like you weigh a thousand pounds and can't really move no matter how much mental energy you put into it and you feel extremely tired too, but I'll have an intense feeling of impending doom like something or someone is coming and I'll hear what sounds like slow heavy lumbering foot steps coming, sort of like how a zombie walks, but they never get there. I remember times where that was happening and I'd be trying to reach for my pistol or whatever weapon I would be sleeping with but couldn't grab it lol luckily I wasn't able to otherwise I probably would have started firing towards the foot steps which would have been scary as fuck waking up to and then have to worry about where the bullets went and if the cops were on their way
