In the modern age, software has a lot of power, and if you freely give it away to corporations to fuck over the entire population, you won't get very far in achieving anything. They'll slowly but surely take away any possibility of protest. Just look around on mainstream media to see this happening already.

You can roleplay about "muh capitalism" and "muh bourgeoisie" but neither of those things mean much. Greed and corruption occur regardless of the existence of a bourgeoisie and regardless of whether the government operates on a system of capitalism. Hating on these concepts only serves to make sure the people abusing whichever system is in place get away without accountability. Hold these abusive people accountable, regardless of whatever system they're abusing today.
