@Anomalocaris42 You only need a euphemism for something if that something has become offensive to say. That's the treadmill. If the euphemism is for something people are going to want to denigrate, the new euphemism eventually becomes the new slur.

I guess the euphemism treadmill (new sense) hit the euphemism treadmill (old sense).
