I have a dear friend who is Palestinian, was raised in Jordan, she is a scientist, studied in Cambridge and now is a professor of a University in the US. She has two pharmaceutical companies in the US, so she is a person who makes the economy go round. I won't say her name or give details, for obvious reasons. Well, she hadn't sent me any news for two weeks, and today she finally got in touch. She is fine, but her brother, who had a valid work visa, was deported. She also said w/ relief that she managed to pay for his flight back, so he didn't went back in handcuffs or was taken to a concentration camp. But how wrong is a country when one is relieved 'cause the deportation of a brother (who didn't commit any crime and was legally working in the country) was made without handcuffs?
